Today is a great plus one news day. Candy O’Terry has just joined Brunner Communications. Candy will work as an Associate of Brunner Communications leading various workshops from Media Training Skills to Women’s Leadership Training. In addition, Candy’s expertise in speech writing, event scripting and panel moderatorship make her a great addition to the team.
Candy is truly an exceptional find in this industry. An award-winning Broadcaster, Candy is a master interviewer, host, public speaker, and storyteller who spent 25 years reaching through the radio to connect with listeners in a memorable, authentic way.
During her radio career in Boston, she founded Magic 106.7’s Exceptional Women show, winner of 43 local and national awards for excellence in women’s programming. Candy is also the Massachusetts Broadcaster of the Year.
An honors graduate of Boston College with a degree in English, Candy’s writing skills have served her well. She has voiced and scripted the syndicated radio feature Got a Minute? Get Inspired (part of Your Weekend with Jim Brickman) and Connected in-flight music entertainment aboard all American Airlines domestic flights. She’s a member of the elite Media Performance Institute at Boston Casting where she teaches voice over.
Candy is the co-founder and president of Boston Women in Media & Entertainment and is a constant mentor, serving on the Boston College Women’s Council, Dream BIG, and Strong Women, Strong Girls. Candy is also writing a children’s book series with her daughter Colleen called Nelson’s Garden.
