Kudos to 75-year-old Natalie Yellin who is profiled it today’s Wall Street Journal.

She is not letting age stop her from being a part of today’s social media world.

This article  got me thinking about how many “seniors” —let alone baby boomers — who say “I’m too old to learn this… or learn that,”  or who think social media platforms are a waste of time.   Yes, the explosion of social media can be overwhelming and even intimidating even to the smartest of people, but you don’t have to be on every social network.  Just don’t be afraid to give it a try.

I admit it!  Over the years, I myself have sometimes been “stubborn” when it comes to embracing new technologies, but I’m glad I’ve pushed through it— or been pushed by others—  to keep up to date on new technologies and ways people are communicating.

Learning is what keeps us young, keeps our minds alert, keeps us growing.

So, thank you Natalie Yellin for giving twitter a try, and inviting all of us to not be afraid to do the same.
