Faced with family tragedy, Kate Curran reassessed her life’s direction. Taking a year off to travel the world, Kate went on to found School the World, which has built 107 schools to date and served more than 10,000 children. More than supplies and facilities, School the World is dedicated to empowering those it serves. “I think that empowerment is critically important to any kind of poverty-solving work,” Kate says.
