Sophie Grégoire Trudeau

Whether through her roles as a TV reporter or the former unofficial first lady of Canada, Sophie Grégoire Trudeau has met kings and queens, presidents, first ladies, major celebrities, all of whom, she says, have inspired her to become a passionate advocate for mental health. As a teenager, Sophie suffered from a serious eating disorder and it was only after she went public with her private battle that everything changed. 

“...When I talked about my eating disorders, it was 20 years ago, and nobody was talking about it. But in the past five years, I think there's been an exponential growth curve, and how we talk about mental health, and also massive investments in mental health, because people are realizing that it's a true crisis…”
